The Dark Horse Invitational at Revelstoke Mountain Resort helps riders develop their skills

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is set to host the return of the Dark Horse Invitational, a women’s free-ride mountain bike competition next weekend.

Hosted by professional mountain bike cyclist, Casey Brown, the event is still classified as a contest.

The aim of the event is to be inclusive and welcoming for runners and to help them develop their skills. There will also always be prizes for participants. The event takes place over three days, with riders taking their chances on the course. Riders will be judged against their comrades prior to the main event.

RMR invites spectators to come on Saturday, September 26 to watch the last day of the event. The Big Air Sesh runs from 1 to 4 p.m., and spectators can catch the action by walking from the bottom of the hill. The bike course is only a short walk from the bottom, so never fear – minimal hiking is required.

After the event, RMR will host a small after-party at Rockford Plaza where attendees can meet Brown and the athletes who participated in the event.
