Kelantan Kids hike fined RM 30,000 for non-vaccination

On Friday October 15, a teenage couple from Kelantan were caught walking up the Bukit Panau trail without completing their Covid-19 vaccinations.

15 people between the ages of 14 and 18 were arrested by authorities who were inspecting the hill trail from top to bottom.

Apparently the children failed to produce proof that they completed two full doses of the vaccine and were given compounds in the amount of RM2,000 each.

Police said action was taken in accordance with regulation 16 of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act 1988 (Act 342).

See, by the rules, residents must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to be allowed to participate in recreational activities in public, in addition to complying with new normal SOPs like wearing face masks and practicing physical distancing.
