Dodge Ridge Resort Launches ATV-Accessible Chairlift August 13

PINECREST – For the first time in the 71-year history of Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort, the Central Sierra destination will open the mountain to chairlift-accessible mountain biking on Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14.

On opening day, Saturday, August 13 at 9 a.m., when the lifts begin to spin, there will be a contest to see who can get the first chair for the inaugural season kickoff preceded by a ribbon cutting and an official commemoration of the moment.

Dodge Ridge Mountain Bike Park will operate every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from August 13 through the end of October, weather permitting.

The resort will assess and evaluate Mountain Bike Park operations for November based on conditions at that time.

One-day lift tickets for the inaugural season will cost $49 for ages 13 and up or $39 for kids 12 and under. Mountain Bike Season Passes will also be available at $199 and $139 respectively, with discounts on Mountain Bike Season Passes available to Dodge Ridge Winter Season Pass holders. 2022-23.

All riders will descend from the top of the Motherlode 3 chairlift at an elevation of 7,400 feet and traverse the mountain with nearly 5 miles of beginner/lower-intermediate Freeride rollers and benches available on opening day.

Dodge Ridge crews are also hard at work on an intermediate technical track and an intermediate freeride track currently in development and expected to be completed shortly after opening weekend. Additional trail construction is planned throughout the summer and into the fall, introducing more intermediate to advanced trails with approximately 9 miles planned for this season. For the opening weekend festivities, the mountain will feature live music on Saturday and Sunday, along with booths from bike retailers and other industry vendors handing out swag and showcasing their best on the terrace of the Base Camp Bar + Grill.

There will also be promotions and giveaways to score as the weekend of events adds to the summertime activities that have been happening all summer at Dodge Ridge, including chairlift accessible disc golf, picnics picnics and hiking, as well as yoga classes and bouncy houses for children. The newly transformed menu at the resort’s Base Camp Bar + Grill will also feature the BBQ and Smoking Kitchen as well as free live music every Saturday and Sunday, including a full slate of free summer garden games like cornhole , table tennis, foosball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, giant jenga and more.
