Brundage Mountain offering skiing, mountain biking this weekend

Summer is very different on Brundage Mountain this year – from June 17, Brundage Mountain will offer both skiing and mountain biking for the opening weekend of the summer season.

From Friday the scenic chairlift rides will start operating and on the opening weekend visitors can ski or snowboard. In addition, a small snow park will be open this weekend to visitors.

The terrain park will be located just north of the BlueBird lift at the top of the Main Street trail. Those interested in winter sports like skiing or snowboarding can take the Bluebird Express to the top.

“The spring storms left us with a solid snowpack at the top of the mountain,” says Ken Rider, general manager of Brundage Mountain. “While we work to clear and prepare the mountain biking and hiking trails from the base area, we will prepare four or five terrain park features near the summit.”

Some mountain bike trails are closed, but trails that range from base area to mid-mountain will be open for cross-country. Cyclists and hikers are encouraged to check the Summer trail report start tracking new trail openings.

2022-23 Winter Season Passholders and 2022 Summer Bike Park Passholders can use the lifts and park at no additional cost. Adult tickets are available at $20 and youth at $15.

“It’s extremely rare to get the chance to turn corners or hit rails in June, so while that’s not how we expected to open the summer season, we’re pretty excited about it,” said added Rider.

Brundage Mountain will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 17-19 and June 24-26 and Wednesday-Sunday from June 29, with bonus days on Monday July 4, Tuesday July 5 and Monday September 5 .
