Brundage Mountain Resort (Idaho) is offering a full range of activities for guests to enjoy this coming weekend, including skiing and snowboarding!
Yeah, that’s right folks. Brundage still has a pretty decent snowpack and offers a terrain park for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy this coming weekend.
Brundage made the announcement in a blog post. You can read the whole thing by clicking on the link.
Keep reading for a snippet of this weekend’s festivities.
“Scenic chairlift rides will be offered from Friday June 17, but opening weekend visitors will also have the option of skiing or snowboarding from the summit, for some off-piste turns in late spring. A small snow park will also be open on Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 19.
The spring storms left us with a solid snowpack at the top of the mountain,” says Ken Rider, General Manager of Brundage Mountain. “While we work to clear and prepare the mountain biking and hiking trails from the base area, we will prepare four or five terrain park features near the summit.”
Guests interested in skiing or snowboarding can hike the BlueBird Express to the summit and put their skis or boards on top. The terrain park will be located just north of the BlueBird lift, at the very top of the Main Street trail. There is no continuous snow from top to bottom, so skiers and snowboarders will be allowed to download the BlueBird Express when they are done riding.
2022-23 Winter Season Passholders and 2022 Summer Bike Park Passholders can use the lifts and park at no additional cost. Adult tickets are available at $20 and youth at $15.
“It’s extremely rare to get the chance to turn corners or hit rails in June, so while that’s not how we expected to open the summer season, we’re pretty excited about it,” said added Rider.
Mountain bike trails on the Lower Brundage Trail will also be open.
Looks like it’s going to be a great weekend at Brundage Mountain Resort. I’m jealous of all of you who will be sliding on the snow in the middle of June.
Enjoy it while you can!
